MMSEC - Permit Class

As an alternative to the 2 day hands-on training course, you may opt to take this 8 hour permit class.  Curriculum is provided by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation, but you will learn the basics in a classroom setting.  This course is the minimum requirement in the State of Maine to obtain a motorcycle permit.  We offer these classes through Merrymeeting Adult Education in Topsham.

Please note:  This course does not provide any hands-on training.

    Learn the basics of motorcycling in a classroom setting.

    ·         Earn your Maine Motorcycle permit in 8 hours!

     

    To receive your certificate of successful completion for a permit:

      • you must attend all sessions
      • achieve a minimum of 80% on the 50 question test
      • all requirements set forth by the State Bureau of Motor Vehicles
